300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g fine sugar

To make the Premix (produces 850ml, to serve 10)

400ml decent vodka
100ml dry gin

200ml clementine syrup (as made above)
Whole cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch

Directions

Making the Citrus Syrup: Put the listed components in a pan, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, stirring to dissolve. After that, take off the burner allowing it to reach room temperature entirely. Transfer to a sealable bottle, close it keeping it in the refrigerator, it will last for about four weeks.

To make Premix: Combine the specified liquid ingredients in a big jug, allow it to infuse for 60 minutes, then strain preferably using a fine cloth, to ensure it's perfectly clear.

When ready to serve: Measure 85ml of your premix into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and stir gently for one minute until cold. Filter into a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, garnish with a few cranberries and finish by giving it a brief mist of mandarin oil over the top.
