Major Russian Strikes Disrupt Power Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have come under increased attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in blackouts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were hurt while residents in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered problems to water systems, per reports from local authorities.

Simultaneously, a young boy was lost their life in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to area administrators.

Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but firm measures - from the America, Europe and the G7 - in supplying protection systems and applying sanctions," was stated in a online statement.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty missiles struck energy facilities, describing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were working to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, as confirmed by local officials.

Regional authorities said the urban area endured significant strikes during nighttime hours. A young boy lost their life and several individuals were wounded.

The strikes succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The whole nation is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to identify.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
